what beautiful fish
gills this were 6 to 8 inches,but they had thick bodies and very active,crappies were 8 to 10 with a few larger,which is good for this lake

Just got back from my annual may fishing trip to lake sullivan in sullivan county, In .Brought home 440 fish total not including what we ate there.we had two people fishing for 5 days,but there we 5 people for 3 days.We fished for gills but caught crappie also.the lake had larger gills this year .the fish bit on wigglers,night crawlers ,small jigs, and wax worms

Fishing spots
I like to fish the lakes and strip pits of sullivan and green counties,the indiana dnr has done a great job of stocking these lakes and pits with many varities of fish.they run all the way from musky to gills. gills being my favorite an catching other fish by accident.my second favorite is crappie.lots of them too.i live in la porte county which is on lake michigan ,i perch fish on the big lake.i used to camp at sullivan county lake and park for about ten years ,but have since purchased a cottag… Continue

Oops sorry Zach I forgot about need a trout stamp on your license.
Bank access has improved since they began stocking trout back in the late 90's. As of now State regs require a trout license to fish it during the season ($10). If you plan to launch a boat you will need a permit. Not sure about other options as far…
About the only time you can fish Pawhuska from the bank is when they drop the lake for trout season. There is no cost to fish it.
I know, I will have to try it out this fall when the temps drop a bit. Can you fish it from the bank at all, and is there a cost to fish it?
